Wentworth and Dearne MP John Healey recently called in to Broad Horizons Day Care Centre in Wath as they prepared to celebrate the Coronation this weekend.

He was there to look at the services they provide for adults with disabilities of all ages and abilities.

The social care provider puts on a range of activities that are delivered both on site, in activity rooms and out in the community.

John Healey said: “Martin, Sue and the team offer a warm welcome and work really hard to provide a number of different activities and support locally.

“The group are often out on day trips, learning new skills or making crafts.

“It was great to meet everybody at Broad Horizons and see how much everyone enjoyed their time with the group.”

Broad Horizons also offer advice on life skills and are currently taking part in activities around the Coronation including making their own cardboard crowns.

The group are based at Trinity Hall Community Centre in Wath and are open from Monday to Friday 9am-4pm.
