Rawmarsh and Consibrough MP John Healey visited Metalysis’ manufacturing centre in Wath.
The company is a global leader in producing solid-state metal and alloy powders which are used in a number of different sectors including aerospace and electronics.
Their groundbreaking product range of metallic and intermetallic powders and alloys, including lightweight refractory high-entropy alloys, were previously impossible to produce using traditional manufacturing methods.
John Healey MP said: “It’s been fascinating to see Metalysis grow as a business over the last decade.
“The company has an important part to play in the country’s critical metals sector through its production of metallic and intermetallic powders and alloys that can be used in a range of different products and sectors.
“I’m looking forward to hearing more about the company’s success in the future as it continues to expand in the years to come.”
During the visit John toured the Metalysis Manufacturing Centre, gaining first-hand insight into the company’s groundbreaking capabilities. These include its two Gen 3 units, capable of producing tonnes of advanced precision metal powders per machine, per annum, and the newly recommissioned Gen 4 machine, which will deliver tens of tonnes of output per machine annually.
Metalysis CEO, Nitesh Shah, commented: “We were honoured to welcome John Healey to our facility once again. His continued advocacy for local businesses, particularly those that play a pivotal role in the UK’s critical minerals strategy, is a testament to his understanding of the evolving industrial landscape.
“As we look to the future, Metalysis is uniquely positioned to contribute to the UK’s ambitions in sectors such as advanced electronics, defence, hypersonics, aerospace, space and clean energy, with our technology enabling the development of more efficient and sustainable materials.”
